Maulana Wahiduddin Khan

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan (1925-2021) was an Indian Islamic scholar, peace activist, and author known for his spiritual commentary on the Quran, which he presented in a modern context. Born in British India, he received a traditional Islamic education but later studied English and modern science to address the challenges of contemporary thought, leading him to advocate for peaceful interpretations of Islam. He founded the Centre for Peace and Spirituality International and was recognized as an Ambassador of Peace for his work promoting nonviolence, interfaith dialogue, and co-existence.
