Hazrat Sultan Bahu was a 17th-century Punjabi Muslim poet, Sufi mystic, and scholar born in Shorkot, Punjab, in 1630. He was a descendant of Hazrat Ali and founded the Sarwari Qadiri Sufi order, becoming a prominent spiritual figure during the reigns of Mughal emperors Shah Jahan and Aurangzeb. He is revered for his mystical poetry and spiritual teachings, leaving behind numerous books on Sufism.
